Lifting technology

Our magnetic lifting technology offers powerful and safe solutions for industrial lifting requirements. Whether lifting heavy metal parts, positioning workpieces precisely or handling materials quickly - our magnetic lifting systems guarantee maximum efficiency and safety.

Lifting technology - Explanation

The advantages of using magnet systems in lifting technology are manifold and always associated with cost savings. Increased storage capacity, simple storage (without intermediate timbers), time savings, accident prevention and a long service life, as well as virtually wear-free use of the systems are just some of them.

Balancer - function & explanation

Balancers are hand-guided lifting aids that have been specially developed to minimise the Ergonomics in the workplace due to powerless lifting and manipulation of heavy objects to improve. They are particularly useful in areas where employees have to handle heavy loads repeatedly, where they can lead to a significant Reduction of physical stress contribute.

Balancer - at a glance

Variety of models: At magnet.works, you can obtain various versions such as INDEVA Liftronic Easy, Liftronic Pro, Railbalancer, Linear Manipulator and Liftronic Mobile, each of which is optimised for specific requirements and applications.
Areas of application: Used in a variety of industries such as warehousing, machine loading, carton handling and assembly workstations.
Safety benefits: Reduction of accidents at work, especially those caused by falling loads.
Health promotion: Minimisation of sick leave due to back pain and musculoskeletal problems.

Interesting facts about balancers

Balancer, i.e. Hand-guided lifting aids, serve work ergonomics by enabling the effortless lifting and manipulation of objects.
Especially for activities in material handling or repeated handling of components with a dead weight of 15 kg or more increases the physical strain on employees significantly at the workplace.

Depending on the specific tasks, employees can move several tonnes of material by hand during a working week. This High load can lead to back problems, which is not only reflected in increased number of sick days, but also in Difficulties in recruiting employees, who are prepared to take on such tasks.

Balancers that enable components to be manipulated effortlessly, significantly improve ergonomics and safety at workstations where materials are frequently handled. As balancers enable loads of up to several hundred kilograms to be lifted, this often reduces the need for several employees to work together to move heavy components. A single employee can complete the task with the use of a balancer and save labour-intensive work.

At a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to fill jobs adequately, the Ergonomic optimisation of workstations of great advantage.

The use of balancers can also Significantly reduce accidents at work, especially those caused by falling loads

Different versions

Balancers are available in a wide variety of designs:

  • Electrically driven balancers.
  • Pneumatically driven balancer.
  • Drive by means of spring balancer.

General information

magnet.works is the distribution partner in Austria of Scaglia INDEVA S.p.A. INDEVA is an innovative manufacturer of rope-guided and pneumatically driven balancers. Apart from the standard products, all balancer variants can be customised for your specific application. can be customised. Different arm lengths, column heights, load handling attachments, mounting types, etc. can be realised.
Our experienced sales staff will be happy to discuss your project with you on site. Just get in touch with us.

The speciality of the INDEVA Balancer is the one-handed operation using the sensor handle. This greatly increases operating comfort. In addition, a load cell is always active, which weighs the currently lifted load in real time and controls the drive accordingly so that the lifted load is always automatically held in suspension. When the sensor handle is released, the load remains exactly where it was previously positioned by hand.

For more complex load handling attachments Pushbutton can be added to control the opening and closing of the load handling attachment.

Areas of application for balancers

  • Component handling.
  • Handling of assemblies.
  • Machine loading with raw material.
  • Carton handling.
  • Warehouse management.
  • Assembly workstations.

The advantages at a glance

  • Improvement of work ergonomics.
  • Reduction of accidents at work due to falling loads.
  • More satisfied employees.
  • Fewer sick days due to back problems or musculoskeletal complaints.
  • Load handling attachments customisable to your specific components.
  • High load capacity possible.
  • Different versions; floor-standing column units, wall mounting, ceiling mounting, mounting on rail systems, with and without articulated arm possible.

Lifting magnet - function & explanation

Regardless of which type of lifting magnet is used, there will always be a Magnetic field which is built into a ferromagnetic component and magnetises it. This causes the component to adhere to the lifting magnet.
In components made of magnetisable (ferromagnetic) materials, tiny magnetic fields, so-called Magnetic dipoles, are present and loosely arranged. If the magnetic field of a lifting magnet, for example, is now applied, these magnetic dipoles are precisely aligned in the component. This closes the magnetic field emitted by the lifting magnet and the ferromagnetic component can be safely picked up.

  • Lifting magnets for typical standard applications:
    • Transport of sheet metal in steel production and the steel trade
    • Loading machines with raw material or removing the processed workpiece
    • Loading of robots in material handling

  • Standard lifting magnets can handle component weights of 100 kg to 14,000 kg raise.
    • In addition to the standard lifting magnets, there are also customised special lifting magnets.

Lifting magnets - at a glance

Load capacity: Permanent lifting magnets offer high load capacities despite their compact dimensions, ideal for efficient lifting of heavy loads.
Longevity: Thanks to their robust design, these magnets are low-maintenance and offer a long service life with regular use.
Efficiency: Fast cycle times enable loads to be picked up and set down efficiently, which optimises throughput times in production or during transport.
Versatility: The different modes of operation of the permanent lifting magnets ensure that they are suitable for various applications and can be used flexibly.
Flexibility: The poles of the magnets are adjustable to enable safe handling and transport of almost any component shape.
Area of application: These magnets are suitable for both stationary and mobile applications, including use in cranes and balancers.

Fields of application for lifting magnets

In the industrial sector, lifting magnets are used in a variety of different applications:

  • Manipulation of sheet metal: Lifting magnets are used for everything from sheet metal transport in steel production and stock handling in the steel trade to further processing in the metalworking industry.

  • Manipulation of round material: Lifting magnets can also transport round material by means of prisms incorporated in the poles.

  • Manipulation of components: Workpieces with a wide variety of contours can be manipulated thanks to customised cushion shapes.
